How a shared coin flip works
One of you taps Invite to play and sends the link. The other opens it in any browser, phone or laptop, no app and no account. Each player takes a side, both press Ready, and a single coin flips.
The result isn’t decided on anyone’s device. The server picks the outcome and a start time and sends both to every screen, so the coin lands within about a tenth of a second for everybody. Nobody’s screen says heads while another says tails. There’s one flip.
Why not just flip a real coin on camera?
You can, and for a lunch order nobody will care. When the stakes are who drives, who picks the movie or who takes the on-call weekend, the person holding the coin has an awkward advantage: a laggy video, a catch just out of frame, a second try nobody saw.
A room takes the person in the middle out. Nobody holds the coin and nobody gets a quiet retry. You both see it land together, and every flip carries a proof you can check yourself afterwards.
More than two people
A room seats two players, and anyone else can follow along with the read-only watch link. Watchers see the same synced flip and can react, but can’t touch the result. Handy for a team settling something in front of everyone, or a stream picking between two options.
Rooms close a minute after everyone leaves, or after 30 minutes idle. Opening a new one takes a second.
Questions
Do my friends need to install anything?
No. The room is a normal web link. It opens in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and nobody needs an account.
Can one of us cheat?
Neither player’s browser decides the result, so there’s nothing on your side to tamper with. The server seals a fingerprint of its secret before the first flip and reveals the secret when the match ends, so anyone can check the result wasn’t picked after the fact.
Can I flip on my own?
Yes. Open the page and tap the coin: you get the same coin without waiting for a second player.
